Units were dispatched to a report of smoke in the structure on Monterey Drive in the Four Seasons Subdivision. ECC reported visible smoke but no fire, occupants were evacuating. TO88 arrived first due to find light smoke showing from the Delta side of the structure. Upon investigation they found smoke pushing from multiple places in the lap board siding. They forced the exterior wall at a point where char was visible and flames erupted from the wall. Primary extinguishment was completed with a water can, follow up with a pre-connect from TO88. E2's crew checked for interior extension and E121 crew assisted with overhaul of the outside wall. Fire was contained to the joist spaces within the wall. Discarded fireplace materials are believed to be the cause of the fire.
