STVFD Day crew was kept hopping from mid-morning through mid-afternoon with six calls. It started off with an oven fire just before 10am. After completing ventilation of the contained oven fire they returned to quarters and made it right up until lunch time (of course). They ran 3 back to back calls, 2 EMS followed by a small brush fire on Hillsdale Drive. During this period E2 covered an MVA without injury on Rt. 29 at Myers Drive. While restocking the engine from the prior calls they were dispatched to a t-bone MVC on Berkmar Dr (see pictures). Fortunately there were no injuries at this MVC even though the intrusion in the drivers door was significant. Just one hour later they were dispatched for a special rescue situation at the Ivy Creek Natural Area and spent an hour assisting with the removal of a patient from the hiking trails. The crew finally made it back in service around 1530 hours. Capt. Brooks, FF Deane, and FF Robertson are certainly looking forward to a munch deserved break at the end of their day shift.
