Congratulations to our 2008 UVA graduates!

As another school year draws to a close, we’d like to congratulate all of our graduates from the University of Virginia class of 2008! Here’s what they’re doing:
- Sean O’Connor (Captain, A Crew) graduated with a Humanities concentration BIS degree. He will be staying in Charlottesville and will be working for a small sustainable development company.
- Sam Kim (Lieutenant, A Crew) graduated with a BS in Biology and will be staying in Charlottesville to attend the UVA School of Medicine.
- Ravi Sarpatwari (Firefighter/EMT, B Crew) graduated with a major in architecture and will be staying in Charlottesville to work with VMDO, Architects.
- Becca Everett (Firefighter/EMT, B Crew) graduated with a BS in Nursing and will be starting her career at San Francisco General Hospital, hopefully in the Emergency Department. She will be spending the summer in India.
- Sarah Hayden (Firefighter/EMT, B Crew) graduated with a BS in Nursing. Sarah will be commissioned into the U.S. Navy and will be stationed at Camp Pendelton, California. She is excited about her road trip out to California!
- Tom Willeman (Firefighter, D Crew) graduated with a BA in Foreign Affairs. Tom plans on pursuing a career with the federal government in international relations and plans on getting an advanced degree in security studies.
- Rikin Talsania (Firefighter/EMT, D Crew) graduated with a major in Architecture and a minor in Architectural History. Rikin will be working for an architecture firm in Fairfax that focuses on fire station and school design.
- Yousef Shakhsheer (Lieutenant, E Crew) graduated with a major in Computer/Electrical Engineering and will be attending graduate school at UVA for Electrical Engineering.
- Neale Nickels (Firefighter, E Crew) graduated with a BA in Environmental Science. He will begin his job with an environmental consulting firm in Charlottesville in June and is looking forward to continuing to serve Seminole Trail VFD and Albemarle County.
